Our house is a large home near the sea, in one of Gothenburg’s most sought after suburbs: Billdal. Perfect for a large family, or one that is used to a lot of space for working from home, having multiple hobbies, and outside living.

The house is built 1977 and thoroughly renovated between 2008 and 2015 with all new bathrooms, kitchen, and decorations throughout. The main living space on the upper floor offers a large, light kitchen with extensive storage for all your cooking equipment. The large kitchen island has both storage and breakfast seating (the barstools stay with the house and have washable covers). Appliances are modern and either Miele or Husqvarna with the exception of the combined microwave/small convection oven. The combined living and dining space offers a highly efficient Nordic fireplace insert, as well as large patio doors to the huge patio, giving you coziness for both winter and summer months.
Three bedrooms are located on the upper floor with two adjacent to each other, and a large walk-in closet across from the master bedrooms. The two adjacent bedrooms have doors out to the wooden patio, offering light in the winter and open-air living in the summer. The smaller has a built in 120 cm lofted bed with a playarea/shelves underneath. The smaller bedroom, near the front door has both in-built and additional wardrobes.
A former indoor swimming pool room has been converted to a large family or playroom, and includes a Nordic fireplace, sauna, and shower. The piano stay in this room, and the Sony 36’’ TV and shelving units are negotiable. The large patio doors offer additional access to the outside deck and plenty of light.
The lower floor is a partial basement (about 2/3 underground but with windows in most rooms) and has two additional bedrooms, one which has inbuilt wardrobes and the other, currently used as a home office, which does not but has an Elfa shelfing system that is negotiable to leave or remove.
Our library is a large room with another fireplace with the Nordic fireplace insert. It could also be used as a family room, playroom, or large home office.
Finally, there are two large rooms off of the library that we used for a combination of storage, hobby and crafts, and an indoor gym. Wardrobes and shelving stay as well as the weight set, Stairmaster, rowing machine, and indoor cycle.
Outside there are opportunities for very low maintenance living, as the front yard is stone with planting pots. The backyard is currently set up with Husqvarna robot grass cutting. We will leave a gasoline powered lawn mower with the house for lawn maintenance, as well as the necessary pruning and raking tools.
The spacious lawn has a trampoline and a combination playhouse/swingset.
There is a shed for storing bicycles and other outside equipment. The garage contains wood, power tools, and various home renovation items. We do not plan to empty it, but is available to use. There is ample parking and there is an external three-phase plug that can be used for charging an electrical vehicle.
Although we do not have a sea view from the house, you can see the sea from the front entrance porch and also from the backyard. The house is located directly on the “Sarobanan” walking and biking path, with easy access to local beaches and Gothenburg to the north, or Särö to the south.
For transportation, the “Billdals Kyrka” busstop is right outside our fence, with access to Gothenburg via the Rosa Express. Car access to Gothenburg is via the 158 or E6 over Lindås/Lindome.

- Verisure security, including the Yale code lock on the main front entrance for locking and arming
- Partial furnishing, including a piano, storage cupboards and shelving, a TV, and gym equipment
- Lawnmower, snowblower, and basic lawn care tools
- Use of the Husqvarna grass cutting robot
Not included in rent:
- Electrical service (house is all electric, including heating, water heater, and oven/stove)
- Cleaning (we used Hemfrid, a well-known, established cleaning firm that could be engaged for weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cleaning)
- Fiber internet, option to takeover current Telenor Internet service (50 Mbps, upgrade possible)
